Bob Bannish is the president of Rice, Heard & Bigelow and has been a shareholder and director of the firm since January 2001. Prior to joining RHB, Bob spent his entire legal career at the Boston law firm of Hutchins & Wheeler. He was a partner in that firm and chairman of its trusts & estates practice. He brought to RHB his expertise in estate planning and administration, trust management, the settlement of estates, business and succession planning for closely-held businesses and the formation and management of charitable entities. Bob graduated from Harvard University and earned a J.D. from Boston University School of Law.
Bob has served on numerous charitable boards during his career in the areas of social service, mental health, education and youth sports. He currently serves as managing trustee of the Amelia Peabody Charitable Fund and trustee of several private family foundations. He is also a member of the National Council for Strawbery Banke Museum and the Board of Ambassadors of the New England Aquarium. He is active in the Harvard University alumni association where he has co-chaired six of his college reunions. He also coaches several basketball and baseball teams for his three sons.
