Greg Murphy became a shareholder and director of Rice, Heard & Bigelow in 2022, after joining the firm in September of 2021. Greg is an attorney and CPA who uses his background and skills to advise the firm's clients in their tax matters. Prior to joining the firm, he was a partner in the Boston law firm of Conn Kavanaugh Rosenthal Peisch & Ford, LLP, where he focused his practice on estate planning, tax planning and preparation, and estate and trust administration. Greg began his legal practice at the Boston Law firm of Taylor, Ganson & Perrin, LLP, where he became a partner in 2015. From 2008-2011, Greg was selected to the Super Lawyers New England Rising Stars list in the practice area of tax law. Prior to attending law school, Greg provided audit and tax services in the Boston office of the multinational professional services firm of PricewaterhouseCoopers LLP.
Greg graduated magna cum laude in 2006 from Suffolk University Law School. Greg received his bachelor's degree, with a major in economics and accounting, in 1998 from the College of the Holy Cross. At Holy Cross, Greg was honored with the Presidential Service Award for outstanding contributions and participation in numerous service activities during his college career.
